Naver, Kakao race to expand shopping recommenders to sellers, creators and users
Naver and Kakao are expanding who can recommend products on their shopping platforms. Naver has introduced a Smart Store feature that lets sellers create content combining images, video, products, coupons and live shopping, and it is also expanding creator-led recommendations through its Shopping Connect affiliate service. Kakao has opened a curator feature in KakaoTalk Gifts that allows any member to share product links and earn commissions under certain conditions.

Kakao launches Card Receipts shopping points promotion offering up to 10,000 points
Kakao said on Tuesday it will expand benefits for its KakaoTalk Card Receipts service and run a shopping points promotion. Card Receipts lets users manage transaction histories from multiple card issuers in one place and receive approvals and receipts via KakaoTalk channel alerts. The promotion runs through Oct. 29, awarding points for signing up, linking cards, adding channels and inviting friends. Users can also join a monthly draw for up to 10,000 points.

Kakao launches \'Share Together\' feature for Kakaotalk Gifts vouchers
Kakao on April 29 launched a new \"Share Together\" feature on Kakaotalk Gifts that allows users to share vouchers with family members and acquaintances. The feature lets users share and manage vouchers with members of a family account, reducing the need to capture images or copy messages each time a voucher is shared. Users can create or join a family account in the \"Share Together\" tab and check expiry dates and usage status in real time.
