11st to hold October monthly 11-day sale with time deals and e-coupons

South Korean e-commerce platform 11st is holding its October “Monthly 11 Day” promotion through Oct. 11 to target autumn shopping demand. It plans special-price sales of seasonal home appliances, food and beverage e-coupons, leisure and domestic accommodation products, and new fashion and beauty items. Products change by date and time, with time deals for appliances and scheduled discounts on brand e-coupons and resort stays. Coupons will be provided in stages, including relay discounts and member benefits.

Naver, Kakao unions call for group-wide collective bargaining, urge rule changes

Unions at Naver and Kakao called on Oct. 1 for integrated collective bargaining that covers affiliated companies, urging the National Assembly and government to revise rules. They said parent companies influence affiliates\' management and working conditions but deny bargaining responsibility by citing separate corporate entities. The unions said Naver and Kakao rejected requests after the revised Trade Union and Labour Relations Adjustment Act took effect in March.

MSIT launches \'Everyone\'s AI Lab\' picks 12 teams to start service development

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Information Society Agency selected 12 teams to advance to the finals of the \'Everyone\'s AI Lab AI service competition\' and held a launch event in Seoul. The contest is part of the \'Everyone\'s AI Growth Ladder Project\' launched in August. A total of 390 proposals were submitted, narrowed to 50 and then 12 through regional presentations. Finalists receive mentoring and resources, with winners chosen in December.
