Lambda256 launches digital asset-linked settlement verification project with K Bank and KSNET
Lambda256, a Dunamu affiliate and blockchain company, said on July 7 it has begun a proof of concept with K Bank and KSNET on a digital asset off-ramp and on-chain AML and fraud detection technology. The project tests whether financial institutions can operate a model that converts settlement funds into won after digital asset payments. It covers FX application, settlement request creation, AML/FDS checks, payout approval, on-chain settlement and monitoring with suspicious transaction reporting.

Lambda256, KSNET team up to build stablecoin payment infrastructure
Blockchain technology company Lambda256 said on Tuesday it signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with integrated payment services company KSNET to cooperate on building payment infrastructure using stablecoins and on Web3 business initiatives. The partnership focuses on verifying the feasibility of a stablecoin-based payment model by combining KSNET\'s online and offline payment network with Lambda256\'s blockchain technology. Lambda256 will design on-chain payment processes and operate blockchain node infrastructure centered on its SCOPE platform.

Payment fee rates fall, but relief for micro merchants remains uncertain
South Korea\'s financial authorities said expanded disclosures by 17 electronic financial firms showed average payment fee rates fell versus the prior disclosure period. The authorities split out external fees paid to card issuers and fees retained by e-finance firms to improve transparency. They said some firms do not apply lower rates to smaller merchants and in some cases charge higher rates, raising questions over whether guidelines aimed at easing burdens on micro and small merchants are working.
