Nvidia steps up push into South Korea\'s AI ecosystem with CUDA-style lock-in strategy
Nvidia has released 7 million synthetic Korean-language personas for free and then added the multimodal model Nemotron3 Nano Omni, signalling the rollout of a four-step lock-in package linking models, data, frameworks and hardware in South Korea. The Nemotron-Personas-Korea dataset is available on Hugging Face under a CC BY 4.0 licence. Nvidia is also expanding the Nemotron3 lineup and open-sourcing post-training tools in its Nemo framework, while tying performance to its Blackwell hardware features.

South Korea\'s national debt jumps to 1304.5 trillion won, GDP ratio surges to 49 percent
South Korea\'s national debt rose to a provisional 1304.5 trillion won last year, up 129.4 trillion won from the previous year, according to the 2025 fiscal year national settlement report. The debt-to-GDP ratio climbed to 49.0 percent from 46.0 percent in 2024. The government projected debt will keep rising through 2029, lifting the ratio to 58.0 percent. Weaker growth and fiscal pressures could accelerate the rise.

Mindlogic launches AI agents for public data analysis
AI startup Mindlogic said on Tuesday it has launched two agents: Korea in Data for analysing national statistics and Law in Data focused on laws and ordinances. Korea in Data is a conversational AI jointly developed with the National Assembly Futures Institute and a research team led by Seoul National University professor Ko Kil-gon. It links directly to official data sources including KOSIS and provides real-time analysis. Law in Data is trained on domestic legal data to support administrative work.
