Poland crypto regulation bill stalls as president and government clash
Poland’s effort to legislate cryptocurrency market rules is being delayed as the president and the government push competing bills. The country must incorporate the European Union’s MiCA framework into domestic law by July 1, 2026, but political conflict has slowed the process. President Karol Nawrocki submitted a separate bill to the Sejm after rejecting the government’s proposal twice. The government plans to resubmit its bill and tighten penalties after a recent exchange liquidity crisis.
