AliExpress, KOIMA tighten safety controls on spring cross-border shopping items
AliExpress said on Monday it worked with the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) to carry out pre-emptive safety tests on key categories as demand for cross-border direct purchases rises in spring. The inspection covered 136 products including children’s school supplies, toys, back-to-school items and seasonal clothing. Seven certified domestic testing institutions participated. AliExpress said 118 products met Korean safety standards, while sales of 18 were halted and relisting blocked.
