AI threatens enterprise software business model, Franklin Templeton CEO warns
Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson warned that advances in AI threaten the long-term business models of enterprise software companies. In an interview with the Financial Times, she said Claude\'s coding capabilities raise doubts about whether such firms can survive. She said she spent a weekend coding with Anthropic\'s latest model, Claude Opus 4.6. Johnson said enterprise software firms still generate large profits and may be oversold in the short term, but the long-term threat is real.
