Apple reported developing smart home camera without video recording or storage

Apple is said to be developing a smart home camera that does not record or store video, instead using AI to analyse events inside a home and deliver text descriptions. The product, known internally as J450, is described as a small camera for home security and automation. It is designed to work with Apple’s J490 smart home display. The launch timing and final specifications have not been disclosed.

Apple\'s September lineup takes shape as unreleased product codenames spotted in macOS Tahoe code

Clues to unreleased iPhone, Mac, iPad, home and audio products were found in code for Apple\'s next operating system, ahead of a product event expected in September. Engadget reported that internal codenames appeared in macOS Tahoe 27.6 release candidate code, including references tied to iPhone models, a new home hub, a next HomePod mini, AirPods, Beats, Vision Pro, Apple TV, iPads and Macs. Apple has not announced an event schedule.
