Unauthorised Claude token usage spreads after session hijacking, users say
Cases have emerged in which hackers hijacked login sessions for Anthropic’s Claude accounts and used Claude Code tokens without authorisation. Anthropic confirmed abnormal activity on some accounts, forced session terminations, invalidated server-side tokens and issued refunds to some users. A UK-based independent AI consultant reported unexplained usage increases on a paid plan and said detailed logs were unavailable. Similar complaints surfaced on Reddit and GitHub, including sudden usage spikes and billing changes.

Phishing link from Claude puts Web3 developer on alert
A Web3 project co-founder nearly lost control of digital assets after following a download link suggested by AI chatbot Claude, which led to malware installation, the report said. The incident exposed an attack path in which a backdoor hidden in an AI skill configuration document can reinfect a computer even after an operating system reinstall. A tampered SKILL.md file was designed to reconnect to an attacker server and reinstall an infostealer, the report said.

Bithumb warns of ClickFix phishing and Infostealer malware
Bithumb said on April 9 it has issued preventive guidance for users against the newly spreading ClickFix phishing method and the information-stealing malware Infostealer. It said ClickFix uses error pop-ups or security notices to deceive users into copying and pasting commands and running them directly. The Infostealer malware installed in the process can collect and leak passwords, browser data, wallet information, session tokens and cookies.
