ITCEN Entech wins 2026 veteran employment excellence certification
ITCEN Entech said on Oct. 12 it received a “2026 Discharged Soldier Employment Excellent Company” certification from the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. The company said it has carried out defence-sector IT projects since the 1980s and has supported hiring discharged soldiers so they can build on expertise gained during military service. It said it plans to keep securing defence talent and provide career development for veterans.

ITCEN Global posts first-half revenue of 5.58 trillion won, operating profit 107.5 billion won
ITCEN Global said on Aug. 13 its consolidated first-half revenue totalled 5.58 trillion won, up about 92 percent from a year earlier. The company said growth was supported by balanced gains in its Web3 and IT services businesses, including units such as Korea Gold Exchange, ITCEN CTS and ITCEN ENTECH. Operating profit rose 94 percent to 107.5 billion won and net profit increased 153 percent to 109.8 billion won.

AI shift leaves software market intact but developer jobs at risk
South Korean software industry officials said the software market remains intact even in an era of sweeping AI adoption, but warned layoffs among developers and survival risks for smaller software firms require urgent policy action. At a National Assembly meeting, executives said AI has limits in enterprise software and in closed-network public projects, while safety and reliability verification remains a human domain. Participants also said hiring is slowing and urged stronger AI testing grounds for SMEs.
