Bafang unveils two high-power motors for electric mountain bikes, boosting pedal input up to eightfold
Bafang unveiled two new mid-drive motors for electric mountain bikes that deliver up to 1,700 watts of peak power and 150 newton metres of torque. The M510RS and M560RS feature a “Boost to Limit” mode that can amplify rider pedal input by up to 800 percent. The motors add sensor-based control using a 6-axis IMU and multiple sensors and keep the same mounting interface as existing models. Production is set to start this year.

LG Innotek signs physical AI sensing partnership with TDK
LG Innotek said on Monday it has signed a strategic partnership with Japan’s electronic components maker TDK in the physical AI field. The companies plan to combine LG Innotek’s optical and ultra-precision design capabilities with TDK’s sensor technology to develop sensing solutions such as next-generation vision sensing modules and tactile sensing modules. They aim to unveil a next-generation vision sensing module in 2027 and complete joint development of a tactile sensing module by 2027.

AI technology used in stadiums is drawing attention after South Korea won its opening match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America. Semi-automated offside technology has been upgraded with tracking cameras and sensors in the official match ball, and 3D avatars are used for clearer decisions. FIFA also provides teams with a generative AI match analysis tool built with Lenovo. Early technical issues have also surfaced.
