Samsung Electronics tops U.S. patent rankings for fourth straight year; LG Energy Solution jumps 22 places
Samsung Electronics ranked first for U.S. patents for a fourth straight year after securing 7,054 registrations in 2025, more than 2 percent of the total, a report by IFI Claims showed. Samsung Display rose to fifth and LG Electronics ranked 10th. LG Energy Solution registered 981 patents, up 50 percent, and jumped 22 places to 27th, the biggest rise. Hyundai Motor and Kia also climbed.
