Korea media regulator launches ICT services transparency center to support fact-checking against false information
South Korea\'s Broadcasting Media Communications Commission and the Korea Communications Media Foundation said an ICT services transparency center officially launched on Wednesday under a revised Network Act. The amended law, which took effect in July, established the legal basis for the center. The regulator said it placed the center within the foundation. The center will support fact-checking groups, related research, user education and international cooperation, and help verify transparency reports submitted by large ICT service providers.
