Australian SMEs find no productivity drop in four-day week trial with full pay
A trial of a four-day work week at 15 Australian small and medium-sized businesses found no companies reported a fall in productivity after cutting working time to 80 percent while keeping pay unchanged. The study examined early adopters across sectors including logistics, software development and publishing. It found 43 percent said productivity improved and 57 percent said it was almost unchanged. Fourteen firms kept the model after the trial ended.
