Apple HomeView core features require latest iPhone, iPad
Apple’s new HomeView home hub sells for $299, but fully using the key AI features shown in demonstrations requires additional conditions. Personalization and camera AI features need certain recent iPhone or iPad models, and some functions also require an iCloud+ subscription. HomeView launches on Nov. 13 with a 7-inch touchscreen in wall-mount and tabletop versions. Apple unveils new Apple TV 4K with A19 chip, 50 percent faster
Apple on Tuesday unveiled its next-generation Apple TV 4K, featuring an A19 chip and enhanced home hub functions. Apple said CPU performance is up to 50 percent faster and GPU performance up to 2 times faster than the previous generation, and the device adds a dedicated AV1 decoder for high-quality streaming with less bandwidth. The new Siri Remote supports Find My, while privacy features include a Secure Enclave for microphone data and end-to-end encrypted HomeKit video storage.
