Survey shows 63% of UK firms factor AI skills into promotion decisions
Companies are increasingly using artificial intelligence skills as a benchmark that directly affects promotions and salaries. A new HiBob survey found 63% of UK companies factor AI capabilities into promotion decisions and 61% include them in regular performance reviews. Some 31% said AI proficiency directly affects annual pay. Firms also expect mid-level AI skills to become a baseline requirement across roles, including non-technical jobs, and are investing in training and retraining programmes.
