Concerns that AI would hurt software firms appear limited, as many reposition AI as a growth engine.

HPE expands hybrid cloud for AI workloads with unified management of VMs and Kubernetes
Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced private cloud, storage and cyber resilience offerings aimed at supporting AI workloads. The fourth-generation HPE Private Cloud uses HPE Morpheus software to manage virtual machines and Kubernetes containers through a single interface. It adds support for the latest HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 servers and integrates Veeam backup and recovery software and the HPE Zerto disaster recovery platform. HPE also added file storage support to its Alletra Storage MP X10000 platform and updated Zerto Software 10.9.

Fourth-quarter global server market hits record high on AI demand; Dell leads, HPE share slips
The global server market hit a record high in the fourth quarter of 2025 on the back of AI infrastructure investment, according to IDC data shared by Network World. Total quarterly revenue topped $125 billion, up more than 50 percent from a year earlier. GPU-equipped systems accounted for more than half of the market, led by demand from large cloud providers and hyperscalers, while enterprises remained cautious on data-centre spending.
