Vast Ethereum short faces liquidation risk despite Vitalik Buterin pledge to cut sales
An Ethereum short position worth more than $100 million is at risk of liquidation as the token rebounds, with the liquidation price near $2,150. Data showed the wallet held about 47,600 ETH in a roughly 23-times cross-margin short. The move comes as Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said the Ethereum Foundation would reduce its ether sales. Institutional sentiment has weakened, with ETF outflows and some large holders cutting exposure.
