U.S. crypto policy exodus cuts odds of Clarity Act passage this year to 27 percent
Expectations for U.S. passage this year of the Clarity cryptocurrency market-structure bill have fallen sharply, with Polymarket putting the odds at 27 percent on July 29, CryptoSlate reported. Departures by key crypto policy figures in the Treasury, the White House, the SEC and the Senate have added to concerns. The bill has cleared the Senate Banking Committee but still faces a full Senate vote and hurdles including ethics provisions, banking opposition and election-year scheduling.

White House crypto negotiator delays military training to focus on CLARITY Act
Patrick Witt, the White House official leading negotiations on U.S. cryptocurrency policy, has postponed a military training commitment scheduled for late July to stay and finish work on the CLARITY Act as it moves to the Senate, Cointelegraph reported. Witt said the training was delayed. The bill seeks to create the first comprehensive regulatory framework for the U.S. crypto market and faces an Aug. 8 deadline before the Senate recess.
