Hanwha Investment Securities unveils digital asset platform blueprint, targets launch in Q1 2027
Hanwha Investment Securities unveiled a blueprint to develop its digital asset business into a next-generation investment platform. Executive director Son Jong-min said the firm will build a Digital Asset Platform to tokenise and trade assets, starting with private market assets. It plans to begin with high-net-worth and family office clients, then expand to the broader public. The company aims to launch the platform in the first quarter of 2027, initially in overseas markets where regulations allow.

Hanwha Investment Securities invests 18 billion won in global Web3 firm Kresus
Hanwha Investment Securities said on Feb. 19 it completed a strategic investment worth about 18 billion won in Kresus, a global Web3-focused company. Kresus has seedless recovery technology and MPC-based security technology. The companies previously signed an MOU at Abu Dhabi Finance Week 2025. They plan to develop mid- to long-term technology cooperation, upgrade customer digital asset services and step up efforts to develop the RWA market.

Hanwha Investment Securities\' pension assets top 2 trillion won
Hanwha Investment Securities said on Jan. 12 its pension assets surpassed 2 trillion won. It said the total doubled from 1 trillion won reached in November 2023, attributing the growth to strategic portfolio operations, enhanced customer-tailored consulting and company-wide collaboration. The firm said it has focused on DC and IRP products to improve management efficiency and raise return competitiveness. It said a 2025 government evaluation placed it in the top 10 percent in protected principal returns and fee efficiency.
