Bang Jun-hyuk to buy 13.4 percent stake in Netmarble for 374 billion won
Netmarble’s controlling shareholder will strengthen his grip after chairman Bang Jun-hyuk (방준혁) agrees to buy a 13.4 percent stake for 374 billion won. Netmarble said in a regulatory filing on Thursday that the shares will be acquired from Tencent affiliate Han River Investment, which holds 18.1 percent of the company. After the transaction, Bang’s stake will rise from 24.93 percent to 38.34 percent. Netmarble said business cooperation with Tencent will continue.
