Police identify ringleader in KT microbilling case, seek Interpol red notice
South Korean police said they have identified a Chinese national suspected of orchestrating the KT unauthorised microbilling case and have asked Interpol for a red notice. The suspect allegedly directed the use of illegal base station equipment to hack phones of KT users in several apartment complexes and carry out small payments. Police have arrested 13 people and detained five in the investigation and continue to probe possible accomplices and the structure of the group.
