Kakao bonus dispute turns into trust and organisation issue as first strike looms
Kakao\'s labour dispute has moved toward the company\'s first headquarters strike. The Kakao union plans a four-hour partial strike and rally around Pangyo Station on June 10 and may raise the level depending on talks. The dispute began with bonus negotiations but has expanded to job security, compensation systems and organisational restructuring, putting CEO Jeong Shin-a under pressure. Talks mediated by the Gyeonggi Labour Relations Commission ended without agreement, giving unions legal grounds for industrial action.
