Solum wins Saudi EV charger manufacturing incentive approval, first for Korean company
Solum has become the first South Korean company to win Saudi government incentive approval in electric vehicle charger manufacturing, it said on Sunday. The electronic components maker received final approval under the Standard Incentives for the Industrial Sector programme and secured Saudi government subsidies. Solum is pursuing a joint venture with local partner AL BAKHEET and is in talks to build an EV charger plant using its own power modules.

Solum enters Qatar electricity authority EV charger pilot project
Solum said on Wednesday it has entered a public-sector electric vehicle charger pilot project run by Qatar\'s electricity authority, Kahramaa. It said the project is the first case of a South Korean company taking part in Kahramaa’s proof-of-concept programme. The pilot involves one CHAEVI third-generation 180 kW fast charger equipped with Solum’s 30 kW power module, due to arrive in Qatar in early July after production and air shipment.
