South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT held an emergency meeting on April 16 with ICT-related agencies and major associations to discuss the impact of the Middle East war and response measures. Participants said the war was widening into broader supply chain risks, creating delays and structural burdens across manufacturing. They cited worsening shortages of naphtha-based materials and key parts, declining yields and weaker profitability from higher input costs, freight rates and exchange rates. Concerns over rising credit risks for small firms were also discussed.
