Airwallex to acquire South Korea payment firm Paynuri
Airwallex said on Tuesday it has acquired South Korean company Paynuri, which holds licences including for electronic payment gateway services and prepaid electronic payment instruments, and is registered to conduct foreign exchange business. Airwallex said the licences would strengthen its ability to support Korean companies’ global expansion and help businesses operate smoothly in Asia Pacific. It plans to launch global business accounts and payment acquiring in Korea, followed by additional services this year.
