Samsung Electronics teases eighth-generation foldable lineup with new form factor
Samsung Electronics released a teaser video for its eighth-generation foldable smartphone lineup ahead of its next Galaxy Unpacked event. The video uses everyday objects such as breaking a long chocolate bar and tearing sticker photos to hint at new device proportions and shapes. Samsung said it is strengthening existing foldable advantages and adding new choices as AI use expands. It plans to add a new product group while upgrading Fold and Flip models.

KakaoPay Insurance expands mobile phone insurance to minors
KakaoPay Insurance said on Feb. 24 it has expanded eligibility for its mobile phone insurance to include minors, citing steady requests from parents seeking protection as handset prices rise. Devices released within 2 years can be insured even if used by a minor, with parents purchasing and paying for policies. The DIY product lets users choose repair frequency and deductible ratios, which determine premiums and coverage limits by model.

Next Galaxy Tab S12 and Galaxy Watch models surface in GSMA database
Details of Samsung Electronics\' upcoming tablets and smartwatches have emerged through the GSMA IMEI database as the company prepares to unveil the Galaxy S26 smartphone series this month. The listings include Galaxy Tab S12 Plus 5G and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra 5G, with no standard Tab S12 model shown. Two watches also appear: Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Galaxy Watch 9. An unveiling in the second half of 2026 is seen as possible.
