Dunamu completes proof of concept with Hana Financial using GIWA Chain for overseas remittances
Dunamu said on Thursday it had successfully completed a proof of concept with Hana Financial Group for an overseas remittance service using blockchain technology. The trial replaced remittance messages previously exchanged via SWIFT between Hana Bank’s domestic and overseas branches with blockchain messages on Dunamu’s layer2 blockchain, GIWA Chain. Dunamu said it used its BOJAGI privacy protocol based on zero-knowledge proof technology to protect sensitive financial information.

Hana Financial completes blockchain-based foreign remittance PoC with Dunamu
Hana Financial Group said on Thursday it completed a proof of concept with Dunamu for a foreign currency remittance service using blockchain technology. The trial replaced SWIFT remittance messages exchanged between Hana Bank’s domestic and overseas branches with blockchain messages on Dunamu’s GIWA Chain network. The companies said they assessed potential time and cost savings, cooperated on AML and KYC requirements, and reviewed technical stability in internal controls and risk management for foreign exchange transactions.
