Google in talks to invest $100 million in Fluidstack, boosting TPU ecosystem
Google is in talks to invest about $100 million in cloud startup Fluidstack, the Wall Street Journal reported on Feb. 20, citing sources familiar with the matter. If completed, the deal would value Fluidstack at $7.5 billion. Fluidstack runs a cloud platform for AI training and inference workloads and highlights rapid configuration of large GPU clusters. Google’s move is part of its strategy to expand its TPU AI chip ecosystem.
