XRP, once criticised as \'finance coin\', sees institution-focused strategy reappraised

Flare is moving to secure stablecoin liquidity and expand institutional cooperation to grow XRPFi, its XRP-based decentralised finance ecosystem. CEO Hugo Philion outlined the strategy in a Flare-hosted AMA, while avoiding details on unreleased products or partnerships. Flare is also pursuing real-world asset experiments using its Confidential Compute stack and expanding its Flare Data Connector business. VivoPower plans to deploy $100 million worth of XRP on the Flare network.

XRP holders may earn 5 to 10 percent as lending and DeFi options expand
A forecast says XRP holders could earn annual returns of 5 to 10 percent within the next few years as new financial infrastructure takes hold. Kevin Cage, who has invested in XRP since 2017, said yield opportunities could expand through crypto lending, institutional products, tokenised real-world assets and cross-chain strategies. He warned against DeFi strategies promising more than 20 percent a year, saying such returns typically carry greater risk.
