AI agents spread, making malicious bot detection a security industry focus
The spread of AI agents is making it harder for security firms to detect and respond to cases where AI is used for fraud, an article said. Previously, companies could block requests such as money transfers once they detected AI in calls. With personal AI agents now performing real tasks, security firms must determine whether a bot is malicious. Findrop’s CEO said the choice is no longer binary, and the company is developing tools to distinguish normal users, bots and malicious bots.
