SOOP to hold \'2025 Freestyle\' Korea-China showdown on Jan. 31 with global live stream

SOOP said on Thursday it will livestream JoyCity’s global sports game e-sports tournament, the \'2025 Freestyle Korea-China Showdown\'. The event will be held at the FREAKUP Studio in Seoul on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. Four teams from South Korea and four from China will compete in an event match on the first day and a main tournament on the second. Total prize money is about 35 million won.

HP sees gaming PC market share rising to 40 percent by 2028

HP is integrating its OMEN and HyperX gaming brands into a single system led by HyperX, aiming to build a consistent ecosystem spanning PC hardware and peripherals. HP Korea held its first briefing since the integration to unveil new products and its gaming strategy. The 2026 lineup focuses on boosting CPU power and expanding OLED display options. HP expects gaming PCs to rise from about 30 percent of the consumer PC market to 40 percent by 2028.
