Vitalik Buterin aims to make Ethereum a \'cypherpunk chain,\' seeking censorship resistance and simplification
Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin has publicly set out plans to build “cypherpunk Ethereum” while maintaining the current Ethereum ecosystem, The Block reported. He said he would integrate cypherpunk principles into the existing system and expand them gradually, embedding properties such as censorship resistance. Developers have confirmed including the FOCIL mechanism in the Hegota hard fork planned for end-2026. Buterin also highlighted combined effects with EIP-8141.
