SKT appointed to FIDO Alliance board, vows to lead security standards
SK Telecom said it has been appointed as a board-level member of the FIDO Alliance, a group that jointly develops passwordless access technologies using biometric authentication such as fingerprints and facial recognition. It said it will join discussions on standards with major global companies and gradually apply biometric authentication to internal systems. The alliance CEO welcomed SKT’s participation and said he expects its expertise to advance global standards.
