Missed Nvidia options in 1996 now worth $1 billion
A former early technical adviser to Nvidia said a document discrepancy over stock option vesting terms caused him to miss shares now worth about $1.03 billion. Eric Gullichsen said he discovered in 2024 that vesting terms Nvidia provided in 1996 differed from a signed option grant document he disclosed. He said only 15,625 of 25,000 options were treated as vested, leaving 9,375 unexercised. He later dropped legal action.
