Yeo Han-ku says he will open an era of exports for all
South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy held a meeting at Korea Trade Insurance Corp on Thursday to review export risks and opportunities for 2026. Trade Minister Yeo Han-ku said 2025 exports surpassed $700 billion for the first time, citing government efforts to resolve risks and the drive of companies and workers. Analysts and export support agencies reviewed sectoral outlooks and responses. Research bodies flagged AI chip demand and K-culture as positives, while warning of trade risks including the EU’s CBAM.
