DAXA joins exchanges to prepare for expansion of telecom fraud refund law
The Digital Asset Exchange Alliance (DAXA) said it is supporting non-won digital asset exchanges as South Korea expands the scope of the Telecommunications Fraud Damage Refund Act. DAXA held a policy and practical workshop in Seoul for exchanges that only allow digital asset-to-asset trading without won deposits or withdrawals. The revised law, effective Oct. 1, extends refund targets to digital assets and requires exchanges to carry out relief-related duties, including payment suspensions and refunds.

MSIT expands AI dubbing support to boost K-FAST after reaching 100 million viewers in 22 countries
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT will expand the K-FAST Alliance programme to support domestic free ad-supported streaming TV operators\' global expansion. The ministry and the Korea Association for ICT Promotion discussed this year\'s plan and shared results from an AI dubbing project. Participating firms developed an AI dubbing agent and localized about 1,200 K-content titles into English, Spanish and Portuguese, building 20 channels. The channels have been available in 22 countries via Samsung TV Plus and LG Channels, drawing about 100 million cumulative viewers.

DAXA holds briefing on implementation assessment of anti-money laundering rules
South Korea\'s Digital Asset Exchange Alliance (DAXA) said on Wednesday it held a briefing in Seoul for domestic digital asset businesses on the 2026 anti-money laundering (AML) implementation assessment. The event was arranged after some indicators used in the annual AML implementation assessment by the Financial Intelligence Unit were improved. DAXA said the briefing shared the overall structure and key changes and provided detailed guidance on evaluation criteria practitioners should note.
