Qualcomm unveils AI data centre CPU, secures Meta as first major customer
Qualcomm has unveiled its Dragonfly C1000 data centre CPU, CNBC reported on June 24. Meta plans to adopt the C1000 from the start of mass production in 2028. Qualcomm said the chip is optimised for running AI agents and delivers high computing performance while minimising power consumption. Qualcomm also outlined a data centre roadmap that includes AI chips and products that connect multiple chips.
