Kwak Byung-jin checks special Lunar New Year mail handling operations
Kwak Byung-jin, acting head of Korea Post, visited Dongdaemun Post Office on Monday as special handling of holiday mail stepped up ahead of the Lunar New Year. He toured the site, listened to staff difficulties and urged employees to prioritise safety and health. Korea Post said it has entered an emergency work system for the special period through Feb. 20, when about 12.32 million parcel items are expected nationwide.
