Big Techs step up AI M&A push, from chips to agents
Big Tech companies are increasingly acquiring AI startups across chips, large language models and applications. Nvidia is effectively buying Groq assets for $20 billion and is also in advanced talks to acquire AI21 Labs for up to $2 to $3 billion, after purchasing SchedMD. Meta has acquired Singapore AI startup Manus. SoftBank plans to buy DigitalBridge for $4.04 billion and has completed a $40 billion OpenAI investment. Apple, Naver Cloud and Korean startups also announced AI-related moves.
