Dell says tokenomics is key in AI era, urges infrastructure redesign amid token surge
Dell Technologies presented tokenomics as a key variable in corporate infrastructure strategy for the AI era, citing a surge in token use as agentic AI spreads. It urged companies to design in detail which tasks run on which models and where they are executed. Jeff Clarke said the issue is not whether token use rises but whether workloads run on the right infrastructure. Dell also highlighted data infrastructure and introduced its Dell AI Data Platform.

AI infrastructure edge lies in data management, Dell executive says
Dell Technologies picked data management as a key differentiator in the race to lead AI infrastructure, saying companies need stronger capabilities to manage dispersed internal data for AI. Senior Vice President Travis Beihl said linking the right data to the right use cases will be crucial. He outlined the three-layer Dell AI Data Platform and highlighted storage and orchestration functions. Beihl also cited Samsung Electronics as an example of supporting EDA workloads in semiconductor manufacturing.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang made a surprise on-stage appearance during Michael Dell\'s keynote, highlighting the companies\' AI Factory alliance. Dell unveiled updates to its Nvidia-based Dell AI Factory and introduced desk-side agentic AI for running autonomous agents locally. Dell also detailed AI data platform enhancements, a Dell PowerRack infrastructure offering and a new AI ecosystem program.
