U.S. War Department personnel database breached, exposing data of 3 million people
The U.S. Department of War’s Defence Manpower Data Center (DMDC) has had personal information on about 3.05 million people exposed in a cyber attack lasting several months. Victims include 2.76 million living individuals and 294,000 deceased, TechRadar reported. The breach was tied to a vulnerability found on July 16 in a file-sharing system. Unauthorised users accessed it from October 2025 to July this year.
