U.S. House extends Diesel Emissions Reduction Act funding to 2029 to support cleaner trucks
The U.S. House of Representatives passed a bipartisan bill to extend funding authorisation for the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act grant programme through 2029. The measure, approved 343-79, would provide $100 million a year through fiscal 2029. The Environmental Protection Agency-run programme helps cover upfront costs when replacing high-emitting diesel vehicles and equipment with cleaner alternatives. The bill must pass the Senate and receive final presidential approval.
