Police secure Coupang server data to trace personal data leak
Police in Seoul have begun analysing server logs and other internal data from Coupang after a breach exposed about 33.7 million customer accounts. A police official said officers are working to identify the leak route and assess damage. The breach is believed to involve a former Chinese national employed by the company. Coupang earlier reported an initial exposure affecting 4,500 accounts, later revised to 33.7 million, including names, emails and delivery addresses but not payment or login details.
