Clearstream expands crypto custody to eight assets including XRP, XLM and ADA
Clearstream, a unit of Deutsche Boerse Group, has added six cryptocurrencies including XRP to its custody service. It will also support Stellar, Cardano, Solana, Litecoin and Avalanche, expanding its institutional crypto custody coverage to eight assets alongside bitcoin and ether. Clearstream said the move responds to growing institutional demand for digital assets that comply with the MiCA regulatory framework. The service began in April 2025.

Smashfi CEO says only bitcoin works as long-term saving asset
Baek Hoon-jong (백훈종), CEO of DA Ground, which runs bitcoin accumulation service Smashfi, said he concluded bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency suitable for storing value and long-term saving. The company launched the centralized crypto finance service Sandbank in 2021 but shifted to a bitcoin-focused model after introducing Smashfi in October 2023. Baek said Smashfi targets self-custody users globally and plans further overseas expansion.
