Crypto bridge CrossCurve hit in attack, $3 million stolen
Cross-chain bridge CrossCurve was attacked due to a smart contract vulnerability and had at least $3 million worth of cryptocurrency stolen, Cointelegraph reported on Feb. 1 local time. CrossCurve said on X that it was investigating and asked users to stop all transactions. The protocol has halted trading and is taking steps to prevent further damage. Defimon Alerts said a CrossCurve smart contract contained a flaw that could bypass validation.
