KT fined 5 million won over Galaxy S25 preorder event without stock-limit notice
South Korea\'s Fair Trade Commission said on Jan. 25 it fined KT 5 million won and issued a corrective order after the telecoms operator failed to inform consumers that supplies were limited during a smartphone preorder sale. The watchdog said KT took reservations for Samsung Electronics\' Galaxy S25 series via an event page from Jan. 24 to Feb. 3 last year, then cancelled 7,127 preorders. It said allocated stock was 400 units.
