Ethereum holds near $2,168 amid foundation sales, ETF outflows and whale exits
Ethereum is narrowly holding the $2,168 level amid simultaneous selling pressure from the Ethereum Foundation, U.S. spot ETF flows and large wallets. It traded around $2,181 on April 9, staying 0.5 percent above a key Fibonacci support at $2,168. The foundation said it would convert 5,000 ETH into stablecoins, with 3,750 ETH already sold for about $8.3 million. Spot ETF flows swung from inflows to outflows, while non-exchange whale holdings edged lower.

Ethereum swap mishap wipes out most of $50 million trade
A crypto investor lost most of an attempted $50.43 million token swap after more than 99 percent slippage reduced the trade to about $36,000, leaving around 327 aEthAAVE tokens in the wallet. The swap involved tokens used in Aave’s DeFi lending protocol and was executed via CoW Protocol, according to CoinDesk. Aave founder Stani Kulechov said an abnormal slippage warning appeared and Aave plans to return about $600,000 in fees.

Vitalik Buterin sells 17,000 ETH in February; will \'whale selling\' be ok?
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin sold about 17,000 ETH during February, reducing holdings in wallets linked to him from 241,000 ETH to about 224,000 ETH, worth about $43 million, CoinPost reported, citing Arkham Intelligence. The sales were made in multiple tranches via the CoW Protocol aggregator. Some worry repeated selling could weaken sentiment as ether has fallen about 37 percent over the past month.
