Anthropic expands access to Mythos5-based cybersecurity capabilities in Claude

Anthropic is expanding access to cybersecurity capabilities based on Claude Mythos5, SecurityWeek reported on Aug. 24. The move builds on the Glasswing project launched in April and aims to limit direct access to Mythos-class models while increasing the defensive outputs available to defenders. Anthropic is integrating Mythos5 into security operations, incident response and detection tools and has begun using it for code scanning in Claude Security beta for Claude Enterprise customers.

Anthropic runs unreleased Model 2 stronger than Claude Mythos 5

Anthropic said it is operating an internal AI model, Model 2, that performs better than its top publicly known model, Claude Mythos 5, but it does not plan to release it. In an AI risk report, the company disclosed safety review results for Mythos 5 and Model 2 and described Model 2 as slightly more capable. Employees also rated it as improved on many tasks, though gains were limited. Benchmark and safety test results were mixed.
