Coinbase, Strike CEOs rebut concerns over bitcoin capital and power shift

Bitcoin advocates rebutted claims by Social Capital CEO Chamath Palihapitiya that speculative money is shifting from bitcoin to prediction and equity markets and that mining power could generate 10 to 20 times more value if redirected to AI token services. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong disputed linking mining energy to price, while Strike CEO Jack Mallers said such flows were not bitcoin-loyal demand. Others called the trends cyclical or self-correcting.
